Raise Your Glass lyrics Lyrics

song lyrics Raise Your Glass (To Foolish Me) lyrics Well it s another rainy night, here in my hometown, And the rain beats down on the stone surround Of the prison grounds Well you can raise a smile but lower your eyes When you pass by You d surely understand if you were the man Doing time I guess it s fair to say I had more than my share that day And You know, I ve been told all prison bars are closed (Chorus) So won t you raise your glass and get drunk For me Cos I m the fool who drank too much, you see. So won t you set them up unselfishly Please raise your Glass to foolish me. When I left the factory gate I was perfectly straight and sober But I Stopped for a short one which led to a long one and murder Well he Was six feet five, about twice my size, but I was crazy Because I heard Him say, my wife, in the day was no lady. I guess it s fair to say I had more than my share that day And you know, I ve been told all prison bars are closed (Chorus) So won t you raise your glass and drink To me Cos I m the fool who left her alone you see. So won t you set them up unselfishly Please raise Your glass to foolish me. song lyrics
